Two-factor authentication on your account

2FA Is Coming (Yes, On Purpose 😉)

Soon, two-factor authentication (2FA) will become mandatory on AdocSys accounts.  Before you sigh and think “another step to log in…”, let’s talk about why.

What Is 2FA, Exactly?

2FA stands for Two-Factor Authentication.

In simple terms, it means logging in with:

  1. Something you know (your password)

  2. Something you have (usually a code on your phone)

So even if someone somehow gets your password, they still can’t access your account without that second factor. It’s like locking your door and having a deadbolt. Slightly more effort. A lot more protection.

Why Are We Making It Mandatory?

Because passwords alone are no longer enough.

  • Data leaks happen

  • Password reuse happens

  • Phishing happens

  • “Password123” still somehow happens

And since your AdocSys account can control hosting, domains, email, and potentially business-critical data, we’re not comfortable leaving it protected by just one layer. Security isn’t optional. It’s foundational.

Is It Annoying?

A little. Is it worth it? Absolutely.

Once it’s set up, it adds a few seconds to login. That’s it. Compared to dealing with a compromised account, suspended services, or stolen data… we’ll take the extra 5 seconds.

The Bottom Line

We’re requiring 2FA because:

  • We care about your data

  • We care about our infrastructure

  • We’d prefer not to meet you under “emergency recovery” circumstances

Security might not be the most exciting topic but it’s one of the most important ones. If you haven’t enabled 2FA yet, now’s a good time. Your future self will thank you. And as always, if you need help setting it up, we’re here.
